Block Magazine Holiday Food Drive

Monday, December 20th 2004

Block Magazine teamed up with Musica Against Drugs to raise food for our hungry neighbors in need this holiday season.

Musica Against Drugs is a community-based organization serving the needs of individuals and families affected by the HIV/AIDS and drug addiction epidemics in the communities of Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Bushwick. They cook over 70,000 meals a year for residents in need of nourishment, support and friendship.

Block Magazine would like to thank all of the brave and dedicated people who came and donated food despite the coldest day of the year. Your kindness and generous giving will surely help warm the hearts of many during the upcoming holidays and well into the New Year!

A special thanks to Katie Feola, her family and Cat Gulacsy who collectively donated 135 pounds of food making them Block Magazine Food Drive Champions. Thank you all so much for your inspirational and abundant giving.

Also, a big thanks to our sponsors Original Sin Cider and Mikey’s Hook-Up, for generously donating their services.

Happy Holidays!
